Live-In Care
Live-in care
Live-in caregivers provide care in a client’s own home. Doing so enables clients to maintain their independence for as long as possible. Live-in care can be for those who are in need of respite care, short term care after discharge from the hospital, and complex care with specialist conditions such as dementia.
Clients that require a Live-in Caregiver have a diverse range of needs, personalities and lifestyles and it’s important that they are the right fit for each other. After the initial assessment we will be able to match the best caregiver for each client in need.
Why Choose Live-in Care?
With the help of a Live-in Caregiver, clients are able to stay in their own home. This avoids unnecessary change, and the many risks and lifestyle disruptions of a nursing home. It further allows clients to stay in a familiar and comfortable environment, having round-the-clock care and companionship, being able to stay with partners and pets which have a positive impact on their mental well-being, and allowing visits from family and friends as often as they like.
Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting all aspects of personal hygiene
- Medication reminding
- Meal preparation
- Helping clients move around their home
- Providing a listening ear and emotional support
- Ensuring appropriate reporting is carried out for each individual under their care plan
- Providing safety and supervision during the night
